John Lomax

John was born in September 1848 in Little Bolton.¹

John's father was here was also John Lomax John Lomax and his mother was Martha Lever. His paternal grandparents were Arthur Lomax and Ann Lomax. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Jacob, Thomas, Sarah, Martha, Ann and Mary. He died at the age of 76 on March 6th, 1925 in Bolton.²

- LOMAX John of Brookdale, 5 Eckersley Road, Bolton, Lancashire died 6 March 1925. Probate Manchester 2 Jan 1930 to May Marion Landsborough Lomax, widow, Joseph Gregory Haddock formerly a corn merchant and Arthur Wilcox School-master. Effects £58 9s 8d.

- John was a pawnbroker, like his father before him.
  
  About 1887, John married Mary Marion Landsborough Rankin, probably married before (TBC). They had a son John William in 1890 that died and in 1891 had a daughter Jessie (another child died). MMN = RANKIN. They had been married 24 years in 1911.
  
  John Died 6 March 1925. He left £58 to May Marion Landsborough Lomax, widow of Joseph Gregory Haddock.
