in 1881 John (56, Pawnbroker and Counterpane Manufacturer) and Martha and family were at 347 Blackburn Road. There was also John Lomax (47, Pawnbroker) living at 24 Grosvener Street, Bolton married to Betsy with son Walter and daughter Mary
In 1891, John Lomax (66, Pawnbroker, born Harwood) was a widower, still living at 347 Blackburn Road with Sarah (45), Mary (30) and Thomas D (25). Also, In 1891, John Lomax (67, Pawnbroker and General Dealer, born Bolton) was married to Betsy (57) at 144 St George's Road, Little Bolton with a single daughter Mary. This other John died 29 June 1891 (next of kin Walter John Lomax).
