George's father was James Lee and his mother was Mary McQuire. He had a brother and six sisters, named Joseph, Ann, Mary, Elizabeth, Catherine, Elizabeth and Margaret.  He was the fourth oldest of the eight children. He had a half-brother named John.  He died about 1829.
