George's father was James Lee and his mother was Mary McQuire. He had three brothers and six sisters, named James, Joseph, Samuel, Ann, Mary, Elizabeth, Catherine, Elizabeth and Margaret.  He was the fifth oldest of the ten children. He had a half-brother named John.  He died about 1829.
