James Lee

James was born in 1797 in Harwood.¹

General Notes
- 24 Mar 1823 James Lee married Mary Mather (spinster), so Mary McQuire may be another person. The birth of Samuel in 1838 shows MMN = MATHER, but margeret in 1840 is MMN = MCQUIRE.
  
  In 1824, James was a labourer when James was born, but soon became a weaver.
  
  In 1841, James (a carter) and Mary (both 40) were at Hyde Street, Little Bolton with Mary (14), Catherine (10), Joseph (7) and Margaret (1)
  
  In 1851, James and Mary (53 & 52) were at 9 Hyde Street, Little Bolton with Mary (24), Joseph (17, a cripple), and Margaret (10)
