James Knowles

James was born in February 1881 in Edgworth.¹

James' father was James Knowles and his mother was Ruth Mather. His maternal grandparents were Isaac Mather and Elizabeth (Betty) Marsden. He had two brothers named Walter and Fred. He was the oldest of the three known children.
