William Houghton

William was born in 1864 in St. Helens.¹ William's father was Peter Houghton and his mother was Elizabeth Lewis. His maternal grandparents were Joseph Lewis and Elizabeth Williams. He had a brother and a sister, named Joseph and Elizabeth. He was the second oldest of the three known children.
