Minnie's father was William Hopkins and her mother was Ellen Cousins. She had three brothers and four sisters, named John, Herbert, George, Jemima, Emily, Georgiana and Gertrude.  She was the youngest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 98 on October 12th, 1984 in Bath.²
