Matthew's father was Edward James Entwistle and his mother was Martha Guttilla. His paternal grandparents were John Byron Entwistle and Bridget Delia McGuirk. He had a brother named Ted. He was the younger of the two children. He died at the age of 79 on February 7th, 2009 in Florida.¹
