Allias' father was John Edge and his mother was Lettice Mather.  His maternal grandparents were John Mather and Jane (Jennet) Parlington. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Elias, Adam, Hannah, Ann and Jenny.  He was the third oldest of the six known children.
