Margaret was born in 1879 in Liverpool.1 Margaret's father was Thomas Henry Eagles and her mother was Ann (Annie) Mather. Her maternal grandparents were Thomas Mather and Margaret Jones. She had two brothers and a sister, named Thomas, John and Eliza. She was the oldest of the four known children.-
