Samuel Davies

Samuel was born in May 1790 in Pentrobin and his baptism took place on May 23rd, 1790 in Hawarden.¹

Samuel's father was Edward Davies and his mother was Rachel Millington. His maternal grandparents were John Millington and Margaret Youde. He had three brothers named John, John and Edward. He was the second oldest of the four children.

- In 1812, Samuel married Jane Jones at Hawarden.
  
  In 1813, Samuel was a labourer at Broad Lane, Hawarden.
  
  In 1815 - 1822, when Thomas, John and Rachel were baptised, the family were living at Broughton Lodge. Later records show whey were living at Broadlane Township.
  
  In 1841, Samuel and Jane (both 50) were at Broadlane Town, Hawarden with John (25), Rachel (20), Samuel (15), (George (12), Jane (10), William (8), Elizabeth (5).
  
  In 1851, Rachel (28), Jane (21) and William (19) were still with their parents at Broadlane, Hawarden
