Mary Crook

Mary was born in September 1871 in Turton and her baptism took place on October 20th, 1872 at Christ Church, Walmsley.¹²

Mary's father was William Crook and her mother was Elizabeth Kay. Her maternal grandparents were Samuel Kay and Nancy Mather. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Rachel, Jonas, Robert, Alice and Lilly. She was the youngest of the six known children.

- 20 Aug 1892, Mary Ann Crook, daughter of William married Robert Sharrocks. Their first daughter was Lilly (i.e. named after her sister).
