James Crook

James was born in 1731 in Great Lever and his baptism took place on July 31st, 1731 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹

James' father was Mordicai Crook and his mother was Alice Crompton. He had three brothers and a sister, named John, Thomas, Mordicai and Esther. He was the oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 15 in March 1746 in Darcy Lever.¹

- James Crook of Darcia Lever, Carpenter was buried 30 March 1746.
  James would only be 15, so may not be this James, although is father was a Carpenter of G.B..

General Notes
- James a carpenter died 1746 which could be him (or an uncle). His father Mordicia, a Carpenter had died the previous year.
  
  In 1757, James Crook, a weaver married Martha Low, but this is probably another.
