Esther was born in March 1739 in Bolton and her baptism took place on March 30th, 1739 at St. Peter's (Bolton).1  Esther's father was Mordicai Crook and her mother was Alice Crompton. She had four brothers named James, John, Thomas and Mordicai.  She was the third oldest of the five children.  She died at the age of 4 in December 1743 in Bolton.  Her burial was in December 1743 at St. Peter's (Bolton).2
