Harriet was born in 1836 in Bolton and her baptism took place on April 3rd, 1836 at St. Peter's (Bolton).1  Harriet's father was John Collings and her mother was Sarah Williams. She had three brothers and three sisters, named William, Edmund, George, Ellen, Mary and Happy.  She was the second oldest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 2 in February 1838 in Little Bolton.  Her burial was on February 10th, 1838 in Bolton.2
