Roger was born on July 26th, 1790 in Harwood and his baptism took place on October 18th, 1790 at Bank Street Unitarian.1  Roger's father was Arthur Bromiley and his mother was Mary Croshaw. He had seven brothers and a sister, named Arthur, Robert, Thomas, James, Samuel, John, Daniel and Ruth.  He was the second youngest of the nine children.
