William was born in June 1865 in Nantwich and his baptism took place on January 24th, 1869 in Audlem.¹²

Birth Notes

William's father was William Brereton Jnr and his mother was Sarah Ann Fleet. His paternal grandparents were William Brereton and Elizabeth Whittingham. He had two brothers named Edward and Bertram. He was the oldest of the three children. He died at the age of 69 in 1934.
