Hannah was born in October 1755 in Wybunbury and her baptism took place there on October 29th, 1755.1  Hannah's father was Hugh Brereton Jnr and her mother was Mary Criton.  Her paternal grandparents were Hugh Brereton and Mary Withers. She had two brothers and two sisters, named James, George, Ann and Mary.  She was the oldest of the five children.
