Sarah Blackburn

Sarah's father was Matthew Blackburn and her mother was Ann Oldfield. Her paternal grandparents were Michael Blackburn and Hannah Scover. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Michael, Thomas, John, Hannah and Ann. She was the fifth oldest of the six children.

- Sarah (of Newsome) married Joseph Richardson, a joiner from Crosland Moor in 1838. Both parents were farmers.
