Mary's father was James Beswick and her mother was Alice Booth.  Her maternal grandparents were Richard Booth and Catherine Whalley. She had three brothers and three sisters, named James, Thomas, Thomas, Nancy, Nancy and Alice.  She was the third oldest of the seven children.  She died at 10 months old in November 1827 in Tonge-with-Haulgh.  She was buried on November 26th, 1827 at St. Peter's (Bolton).
