Elizabeth (Betty) Banks

Elizabeth, known as Betty, was born in 1806 in Turton.¹

Betty's father was James Banks and her mother was Jane Crouchley. She had two sisters named Margaret and Ellen. She was the oldest of the three known children.

- In 1831, Betty Banks married James Horrocks
  
  In 1841, Elizabeth Horrocks (35) was listed under her assumed mother Jane Banks (60). With her were sons Banks and Edwin Horrocks (9 & 1). Also James and Margaret Mather (both 30) were present, probably Jane's son-in-law and daughter.
