In 1851, Alice Longshaw (65, born Wigan) was living at Millgate, Wigan with Martha Topping (27), William Langshaw (17) and two Topping grandchildren. In 1851, there was another Alice Topping (59, Widow of James) at Pembereton with Peter, Margaret, Alice, James and Ellen (26,18,16,13 & 10)
In Feb 1854, Alice Langshaw of Millgate, died aged 67.
Alice and James were married in a religious ceremony on May 30th, 1814 in Wigan.2 They had a biological son and four biological daughters, named William, Ann, Jane, Martha and Elizabeth. They also had an adopted daughter named Alice. There are possibly more children.
