Pierre was born on August 15th, 1666.  Pierre's father was René II DeLavoye and his mother was Anne Gaudin.  His paternal grandparents were René I DeLavoye and Isabeau Bellenger; his maternal grandparents were Élie Gaudin and Esther Ramage. He had four brothers and a sister, named René III, Jean, Jacques, Joseph and Anne.  He was the fourth oldest of the six children.  He died at the age of 69 on April 29th, 1736 in Berthier, L'Islet, Qc, Canada.
