Mary was born on June 11th, 1885. Mary's father was William Wesley Dye and her mother was Ann Mays. Her paternal grandparents were Dusosway George Dye and Mary Ann McKinley. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Arthur, Jesse, Tony, Lillie, Clara and Blanche. She was the third youngest of the seven children. She died at the age of 45 on June 16th, 1930.
