Clara was born on December 31st, 1878. Clara's father was William Wesley Dye and her mother was Ann Mays. Her paternal grandparents were Dusosway George Dye and Mary Ann McKinley. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Arthur, Jesse, Tony, Lillie, Blanche and Mary. She was the second oldest of the seven children. She died at the age of 93 on January 13th, 1972.
