Laura Maria Giddings 
Laura was born on September 24th, 1825 in Jefferson, Ashtabula County, Ohio.1 Laura's father was Joshua Reed Giddings and her mother was Laura Waters. Her paternal grandparents were Joshua Giddings and Elizabeth Pease. She had three brothers and a sister, named Comfort, Joseph, Grotius and Laura. She was the third oldest of the five children. She died at the age of 45 on August 23rd, 1871.1 General Notes
Laura Maria Giddings, in her will, left 1)Alabaster clock, a keepsake from her mother, to sister Laura. Also the mantel on which it stands. The silver platter and coffee urn and other misc. 2)Bureau with mirror to Adelaide Giddings. 3) Landscape picture to Grace. 4)Katie and Lizzie to have one mahogany chair. 5)'What nots' to Minnie Giddings and $200 to send her away to school. 6)$100 toward the mortgage on brother C.P. and sister S.A. Giddings farm. 7)other money to family memhers.
