Albert was born on December 18th, 1888 in Wapse.1  Albert's father was Harm Veenstra and his mother was Albertje Monsuur.  His paternal grandparents were Jan Harms Veenstra and Grietje Bartelds Oost; his maternal grandparents were Jan Jans Monsuur and Albertje Alberts Nijenhuis. He had five brothers and a sister, named Jan, Jan, Barteld, Ep, Geert and Aaltje.  He was the third youngest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 68 on January 12th, 1957 in Ruinerwold.2
