Willem was born on February 20th, 1796 in Purmerend.  Willem's father was Jan Dinkla and his mother was Aaltje Reusenaar.  His paternal grandparents were Johann (Jan) Heinrich Dinklage and Anna Rebekka Johansson Hendriksen; his maternal grandparents were Jan Ruischenaar and Vrouw / Moeder. He had eight brothers and seven sisters, named Hendrik, Jan, Dirk, Frederik, Willem, Gerrit, Gerrit, Willem, Antje, Aaltje, Elsje, Elsje, Elisabeth, Elisabeth and Leentje / Lena / Helena.  He was the second youngest of the sixteen children.  He died at the age of 63 on May 18th, 1859 in Purmerend.1
