Leentje / Lena / Helena was born on September 5th, 1798 in Purmerend.  Leentje / Lena / Helena's father was Jan Dinkla and her mother was Aaltje Reusenaar.  Her paternal grandparents were Johann (Jan) Heinrich Dinklage and Anna Rebekka Johansson Hendriksen; her maternal grandparents were Jan Ruischenaar and Vrouw / Moeder. She had nine brothers and six sisters, named Hendrik, Jan, Dirk, Frederik, Willem, Gerrit, Gerrit, Willem, Willem, Antje, Aaltje, Elsje, Elsje, Elisabeth and Elisabeth.  She was the youngest of the sixteen children.  She died whilst giving birth at the age of 29 on March 14th, 1828 in Beemster.1
