Teuntjen was born on August 25th, 1771 in Zelhem.1  Teuntjen's father was Derk Abbink and her mother was Jenneken Hallerdijk.  Her paternal grandparents were Henrick Abbink and Jantje; her maternal grandparents were Jan Halderdijk and Hendersken Oldenhave (Oudenhave?). She had three brothers and a sister, named Hendrik, Jan, Marten and Hendrika.  She was the third oldest of the five children. She had two half-brothers and six half-sisters, named Harmanus, Garrit Hendrik, Jenneken / Jenneke, Gradeken, Maria, Jantjen, Janna and Grada.  She died at the age of 41 on August 23rd, 1813 in Wassinkbrink, Netherlands.2
