Hendrika was born on January 21st, 1776 in Zelhem.1  Hendrika's father was Derk Abbink and her mother was Jenneken Hallerdijk.  Her paternal grandparents were Henrick Abbink and Jantje; her maternal grandparents were Jan Halderdijk and Hendersken Oldenhave (Oudenhave?). She had three brothers and a sister, named Hendrik, Jan, Marten and Teuntjen.  She was the youngest of the five children. She had two half-brothers and six half-sisters, named Harmanus, Garrit Hendrik, Jenneken / Jenneke, Gradeken, Maria, Jantjen, Janna and Grada.  She died at the age of 76 on September 20th, 1852 in Wassinkbrink (Bronckhorst).2
