Trijntje was born in 1828.  Trijntje's father was Cornelis Kool and her mother was Aafje Aker.  Her paternal grandparents were Frederik Kool and Trijntje Nijman; her maternal grandparents were Pieter Aker and Lijsbeth Tjerks de Vries. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Pieter, Cornelis, Betje and Aafje.  She was the oldest of the five children.  She died at the age of 72 on May 10th, 1900 in Nibbixwoud.1
