John VIPOND

John was born on February 2nd, 1822 in Bonhill, Donbartonshire, Scotland.¹   John's father was Thomas VIPOND and his mother was Jean BORLAND. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Thomas, Archibald, Robert, George, Janet, Elizabeth, Jean, Ann and Margaret.  He was the fifth youngest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 58 on March 8th, 1880 in Wangaratta, VIC.²
