William Arthur SKEWES

William was born on February 15th, 1869 in Mintaro, SA.¹   William's father was James Michael SKEWES and his mother was Helen Maria BRADY.  His paternal grandparents were John SKEWES and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Samuel BRADY and <Unknown>. He had eight brothers and four sisters, named Edward, James, Michael, John, Horace, Jenkin, Albert, Sydney, Emily, Eva, Theresa, Annie and Helen.  He was the fourth oldest of the fourteen children.  He died at 10 months old on December 22nd, 1869 in Mintaro, SA.²
