James Alfred SKEWES

James was born on September 24th, 1866 in Gawler South, SA.¹   James' father was James Michael SKEWES and his mother was Helen Maria BRADY.  His paternal grandparents were John SKEWES and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Samuel BRADY and <Unknown>. He had eight brothers and four sisters, named Edward, William, Michael, John, Horace, Jenkin, Albert, Sydney, Emily, Eva, Theresa, Annie and Helen.  He was the second oldest of the fourteen children.  He died at 3 months old on January 18th, 1867 in Stockport, SA.²
