Emma was born in 1823.1   Emma's father was Edmund PARHAM and her mother was Sarah COPIS.  Her paternal grandparents were James PARHAM and Mary UNKNOWN. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, James, John, William, Edmund, Eleanor, Sarah and Mary.  She was the fourth youngest of the nine children.  She died at the age of 16 in 1839.1
