Claude was born on May 29th, 1889 in Kadina, SA.1 Claude's father was William Charles MARTIN and his mother was Emma Julia RENDELL. His paternal grandparents were James MARTIN and Mary Mitchell ANTHONY; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Morey RENDELL and Fanny (Frances) Elizabeth OCKENDEN. He had five brothers and four sisters, named James, Cecil, Walter, Palmer, Thomas, May, Mary, Emma and Audrey. He was the fifth youngest of the ten children.General Notes
