Elizabeth was born on April 9th, 1829 in England.1   Elizabeth's father was Robert Carman and her mother was Elizabeth Collingwood/Carman.  Her paternal grandparents were John Carman and Mary Crowfoot/Carman.  She had five brothers and three sisters, named John, Robert, William, James, Christopher, Ruth, Elizabeth and Rebecca.  She was the youngest of the nine children.  She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Patrick and Mary Ann.  She died at the age of 59 on May 4th, 1888 in Eldorado, Ontario, Canada.1
