Denis Joseph was born on August 31st, 1885 in TIGRONEY Avoca, County Wicklow, Ireland.1 Denis Joseph's father was Denis KENNY and his mother was Mary MALONE. His paternal grandparents were Richard KENNY and Mary CAHILL; his maternal grandparents are Joseph MALONE and Catherine MALLICK. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Richard, Bartholomew Valentine, Joseph, John, James, Maria, Catherine, Anna and Mary. He was the fourth youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 73 on September 2nd, 1958 in Arklow.General Notes

Craig Reid from the Avoaca area p[osted on Our Facebook page, Wicklow Genealogy: There’s an article in the Wicklow people 6 Feb 1926 pg6 that gives details of a case of between Bart Kenny and Denis Kenny on settlement of Denis Kenny’s estate. It doesn't say where your granddad James lived though unfortunately, but gives a suggestion of where others may have ended up?
At his time of death Denis left 4 sons, 3 daughters and one granddaughter.
He had 3 farms of 36, 12 and 6 acres respectively plus £100 in deposit in his and his son Denis’ name.
I’ve summarised the outcome below….I hope I’ve got this right
Bart Kenny - Plaintiff - 36 acre farm + £20. Also to keep the remaining of the assets and the holding at Tigroney and pay costs.
Denis Kenny - Defendant - 6 acre farm at Shraghmore + £46
John Kenny - Holding at Conary 12 acres + £43
James Kenny - £63
Mary Mackan - £30
Kate Reid - £30
Mary Tobin - Granddaughter - £25
Annie Macken - £30
Remaining costs to be divided equally and all hay to be divided between the 4 sons.
