Madrona was born in July 1833 in Llorenç del Penedès.  Her godfather was Joan Colet.  Madrona's father was Mariano Colet Aluja and her mother is Maria Sadurni Mestre.  Her paternal grandparents are Joan Colet Esplgues and Maria Aluja Guell. She had a brother and three sisters, named Josep, Maria, Rosa and Antonia.  She was the second oldest of the five children.  Madrona is no longer alive.
