John Stanley 
John was born about 1528 in Hooton, Cheshire, England. John's father was William Stanley and his mother was Grace Griffith. His paternal grandparents were Sir William Stanley and Anne Harrington; his maternal grandparents were William Griffith and Jane Stradling. He had three brothers and three sisters, named William, Rowland, Edward, Mary, Jane and Catherine. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children. He died after 1576.-
