Peter was born in June 1917 in Flyde, Lancashire, England. Peter's father was RobertSingleton and his mother was Elizabeth EmmaTopping. His paternal grandparents were John Singleton and Annie ElizabethSanderson . He had a brother and two sisters, named John, Annie Elizabeth and Mary. He was the youngest of the four children. He died at the age of 16 in 1933.-
