John McLaren

John was born on March 8th, 1774 in Comrie, Perthshire, Scotland and his baptism took place there on March 8th, 1774.  John's father was Alexander McLaren and his mother was Margaret Cameron. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Alexander, Patrick, Catharine, Ann and Christian.  He was the youngest of the six children.
