James Greig

James was born on February 17th, 1846 in Ayton, Berwickshire, Scotland.  James' father was James Greig and his mother was Elizabeth Craik.  His paternal grandparents were Alexander Greig and Margaret Symington; his maternal grandparents were James Craik and Agnes Thompson. He had four brothers and a sister, named Alexander, Thomas, James, Charles and Margaret.  He was the third youngest of the six children.
