Alison Brown was born in 1863. Alison Brown's father was George Clark and her mother was Agnes Brown. Her paternal grandparents were Adam Clark and Alison Borrowman. She had four brothers and six sisters, named Adam Sprott, William Langlands, James More, John Brown, Agnes, Catherine Brown, Christina Sprott, Jane Brown, Maggie and Georgina. She was the third oldest of the eleven children.-
