John Beveridge

John was born on January 1st, 1736 in Coaltown of Fordell, Dalgety, Fife, Scotland and his baptism took place there on January 11th, 1736.  John's father was James Beveridge and his mother was Dorothy Williamson.  His paternal grandparents were James Beveridge and Catharine Paton; his maternal grandparents were John Williamson and Unknown. He had two brothers and six sisters, named Alexander, Walter, Euphan, Elizabeth, Effie, Alison, Janet and Margaret.  He was the fourth youngest of the nine children.
