George Beveridge 
George was born on February 13th, 1779 in Fordel, Coaltown, Dalgety, Fife, Scotland. George's father was John Beveridge and his mother was Grissel Symsone. His paternal grandparents were John Beveridge and Grissel (Grisle) Simson (Symsone). He had five brothers and two sisters, named John, James, William, Alexander, Alexander, Elizabeth and Grissel. He was the youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 71 in 1850 in Killearn, Stirlingshire, Scotland.-
