John Younkin

John was born in 1778 in Bedminster Township, Bucks county, Pennsylvania, USA.¹ John's father was Johannes Michael “John” Younkin and his mother was Catharina Dorsheimer (Younkin). His paternal grandparents were Johann Heinrich “Henry” Junghen and Catharina Scherer (Junghen). He had five brothers and two sisters, named John, Jacob, Henry, John, George, Mary and Catherine. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 48 in 1826.¹
