Catharine, known as Cassie, was born on September 5th, 1837 in Turkeyfoot Township, Somerset County, Pennsylvania, USA.1   Cassie's father was Henry F Younkin and her mother was Mary King (Younkin).  Her paternal grandparents were Frederick G Younkin and Catherine Patton (Younkin). She had eight brothers and three sisters, named Moses, William, Alfred, Harrison, Silas, John, Ross, Jerry, Rachel, Mary and Hilah.  She died at the age of 80 on May 22nd, 1918 in Wakefield, Clay County, Kansas, USA.1

Cassie and Daniel were married in a religious & civil ceremony on May 22nd, 1918 in Somerset County, Pennsylvania, USA.1   They had two sons and five daughters, named William, Frank, Mary, Sarah, Martha, Catherine and Ada.
