Abraham Gallentine

Abraham was born on December 24th, 1794 in Washington County, Maryland, USA.¹ Abraham's father was John Jacob Gallentine Sr. and his mother was Maria Elizabeth Snyder (Reitenauer, Gallentine). His maternal grandparents were Jacob Schneider and Maria Magdalena Bissinger (Schneider). He had three brothers and a sister, named Jacob, Joseph, Daniel and Elizabeth. He was the fourth oldest of the five known children. He had three half-brothers named Adam, Johann and Johannes.
